Planning and Goal Setting For The New Year

The choice to start planning and setting goals might be on the table for the new year. It is amazing how quickly the time can go by when you are not paying close attention. Before you know it, the time is off the clock and another year has rolled around.
What is it going to take for you to make the decision to start planning and putting your goals down? It might seem almost impossible to just sit down at the table or turn on the computer and create a layout of the things that you want to do. Is it really that tough to find a pen and a pad and then think about what you want to accomplish? It must be because people don’t seem to do it regularly.
There are going to be some people that make it to step one. They might write down the goals, but then, they drop the ball at step two. They don’t take any action towards getting the things done. Procrastination could be the word that keeps lots of people in their tracks. They could stare at the goals all day long, but they don’t put the time in to get the things done. Something that sounds so simple must really be super hard.
There are plenty of things that can become a distraction. If the goal is not really important, it might fall to the back of the line. Some people might have fitness goals or health goals, but the daily wants might overpower the goal that is on the table. Are you going to pass up on the cookies to make sure that you reach your goals of getting six pack abs? Are you going to stick to your financial budget to get enough for a downpayment on a house? There are so many small choices that take place on the road to trying to reach your goals.
